To begin with, I wasn't like most children growing up. My mind was developed more highly than my peers. This was good because I could read at a higher grade level. It was also bad because I was constantly teased by those less fortunate than I, and in my mind that was seventeen different ways of wrong, but no matter how I tried to fight back, I was the one who was wrong. It just wasn't fair.
As I got older, I had hoped that I would find acceptance amongst preteens and teenagers in junior and high school. I even tried to express my creativity through music, art, writing and stage performance. Unfortunately, the other kids were not prepared for my outrageous imagination, and as a result, my talents were underminded, supressed, and exploited. I had very few friends in high school, and by the time graduation rolled around, they all went away (I have compiled this page in the hopes that I may reunite with them my way without relying on the poorly recieved Classmates.com).
I first discovered the Internet through my sister's use on her computer, then through the college library's computer, then finally a decent machine of my own. This was good because I was able to discover many new sites, articles and people on the Information Superhighway. This was also bad because I wound up subconsciously replacing many of the hobbies that I have practiced as a youth with that of the computer. And now that I have DirecTV, even more of my time is occupied. Nevertheless, I will try not to let these distractions get in the way of my personal progress.
