Hello everyone! I'm so glad you came by to visit me, and of all places right here in Fairytale Garden. This is my favorite place to come and just get away from everything and fly into my imagination, and do you know my favorite way to do that?

That's right, I love to read. But doesn't everybody? You see, for me the best thing about reading is that every time I open up a book it can take me anywhere that I want to go, and I can be anyone that I want to be, and all that I really need is just my imagination.

Of course, my name is Belle, but when I'm reading a story do I have to be just Belle? Of course not. I can use my imagination and be just about anyone. For example, instead of Belle, maybe I want to be...

a damsel in distress!
Or maybe I can be someone strong, and brave, and noble...

...like a knight in shining armor.
Or maybe I can be someone a little adventurous...

...like a PIRATE!

Well whatever I want to be, the important thing in using your imagination is having fun, and a fun thing to do with stories is to share them with your friends, and I would love to share a story with all of you. Would you like to share a story with me? Would you like to help me tell my story?

Let's start at the very beginning. Who did I live with in my quiet little village? That's right, my papa. And what does my papa do for a job? Why he's an inventor. He's very smart, and he's very kind, and here he is:

Now besides my papa, there is someone else in the village who pays attention to me, and that's Gaston. Is Gaston strong? He sure is. Is Gaston handsome? Well he thinks so. He's not our favorite person, really. He's rude, and obnoxious, and conceited, and he has a one-track mind. Every time that I see Gaston the only thing he'll say to me is, "Marry me, Belle!" And every time Gaston asks to marry me, I always answer "No", but does Gaston take no for an answer? Not at all. In fact, as soon as I would say no, Gaston would repeat his question over and over again.

Gaston: Marry me, Belle!
Belle: No, Gaston.

Gaston: Marry me, Belle!
Belle: Gaston, I'm not going to marry you. I'm sorry.

Gaston: Marry me, Belle!
Belle: Gaston I won't marry you and that's final!

He just wouldn't give up, so I finally had to send Gaston away, but no matter how many times I sent Gaston away, he never really gave up.

Now Papa had set out on a long journey to take one of his inventions to the fair, however along the way he became lost on a dark and scary road, and on this road there were wolves chasing after him. He was so frightened that he fell right off his horse, but he found shelter in what he thought was an abandoned castle, only it wasn't really abandoned at all. In fact, Papa made lots of new friends.

When my papa's horse returned home without him, I knew something wasn't right, and the horse led me back to the place where they had been separated. That's where I met my very good friends, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts, and someone else. Someone known only as...

...the Beast!

Now the Beast had taken my Papa prisoner, and he would only let Papa free if I became prisoner in his place. Of course I did this willingly. Goodbye, Papa. I'll miss you.

Now my first night in the Beast's castle, I discovered the Enchanted Rose.

And I realized the Beast wasn't always a beast. If he were able to love someone before the last petal of the rose fell, and be loved in return, the spell would be broken. If not, the Beast would remain a beast... forever.

And we did not get along at first. Partly because he growled all the time.
Fortunately for all of us in the castle the Beast did stop growling long enough for something wonderful to happen. One evening, everyone felt like dancing.

There was something there that wasn't there before. He began to care about me. He cared so much he allowed me to return home to my Papa who was sick.

The Beast was so sweet to me, he gave me a beautiful magic mirror, and with this mirror I could see the Beast whenever I wanted. I could find my way home to him. However, when I came to see my papa, who was waiting there?

Gaston!
And as usual, Gaston was showing off his muscles.

And Gaston said,"Marry me, Belle!"

But this time when I said no Gaston became so angry, he took the magic mirror, locked Papa and myself in the cellar and set off to find the Beast.

Don't worry, Papa, because someone came to save us.

Thanks to our sweet little hero, Chip, we were able to make it back to the castle just in time to see the Beast and Gatson wrestling back and forth!

And when the fight was over, Gaston had fallen into the moat, far below.

And the Beast lay dying I'm afraid.

Now it wasn't until I told the Beast that I loved him that something magical happened.

Everyone in the castle, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Chip, they all transformed back to their human selves.

And the Beast himself had begun to transform...

...into a very handsome prince.

Fairy tales really do come true!

And as the song goes, "Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast."
